Around the Whiskey Jar est un medley de 5 airs traditionnels Irlandais (Star of the County down, She moved through the fair, Maurice Manley’s Polka, Down by the Salley Gardens, What should we do with the drunken Sailor). L’idée du compositeur était d’utiliser quelques mélodies moins connues et de créer une ambiance de pub Irlandais. Dans cette pièce, le Bodhran, le chant et les parts ressemblants la musique de fiddle, créent une atmosphère animée et authentique.
