Dans The Escape Andreas Ludwig Schulte décrit la situation fictive d’un homme en captivité prolongée. Il est maltraité et sa famille lui manque de plus en plus. Finalement il peut s’échapper, et après quelques moments infatigables il réussit à semer ses poursuivants. Chaque pas le rapproche de sa famille, et à la fin il y a la réunion tant attendue avec ses aimés.
